Quick Tips on In-Store Placement of POP Displays

diorcounterdisplay399x399 Point-of-purchase (POP) displays are strategically placed in-store displays designed to attract customers to a specific product or brand. They can be used to highlight new products, special offers, or events such as a holiday sale.  When used properly POP displays can create a memorable impression of your brand, as well as easily increase the sale of your product.

Research states that consumers will only take a few seconds to make a decision on a product. They usually do not thoroughly scan or take the time to look at all of their choices, which is why the placement of your displays is such a key factor.

While deciding on where to place your POP display, keep these quick tips in mind:

Place goods near the front of stores.

Products that are in the front of stores, specifically near the checkout counter are most likely to be viewed by a customer while they are waiting in line to checkout. This is also the place with the most foot traffic, allowing more people to view the display.

Keep shopper’s line of sight in mind.

People will not buy products that they can’t see. So keeping your displays at eye level will increase the chances of customers purchasing your products.

Set your POP display to the right of brand names.

If your product is not necessarily a brand name, place it to the right of one that is. People tend to look at items in the same direction that they read.

Place around escalators or elevators of department stores.

This tends to be an underused space in department or multi-level stores for POP displays.  Since shoppers are standing in place for the duration of the ride, placing a display nearby will give them something to look at while waiting. jimbeambottleglorifier500 If you would like to learn more about what Wilson-Hurd’s POP Displays division can do for your brand, click here.
